for an updated listing of general membership. Current list includes some that
have not paid dues yet. Joni to create the updated list after our next meeting
when remaining dues are paid. A copy will be given to each board member.
Committees need to seek additional members to assist chairpersons. Open
house will require a dedicated system for guests upon arrival to general member
meetings and open house. By Laws revisions will be our next project and
will be incorporated into our PCPPA handbook. Each board member asked to review
and submit revisions or notes back to Willow.
New Business
The speaker for the April meeting will be Rex Zone Rudy. Hudson's studios
are a studio out of Bremerton photographing many types of subjects including
children, seniors, families and undergrad. Possible future speakers brought
up were Judy Horn, and Mike Thresher. Having a "mega program" in June was
discussed. Mike discussed whether we'd like to hear speakers on Photoshop,
or business topics. We generally decided that both would be nice. The
mentor program was discussed. It was suggested that we have a list of members
who want to mentor, and the "mentee" can choose from this list who might best
suit their needs. Having a section in the newsletter thanking mentors is an
idea. Also, having limited mentorship was suggested so a mentor can decide how
much time they want to share mentoring. Publicity was discussed. The board
was going to wait for Ray and Fayes input to make any decisions. Unclear still
on whether the open house is going to happen, and who to have as a speaker. It
was suggested to have a questionare handed out so the idea can be voted on for
an open house. Summer Party: Mike can not have this at his house in August,
so an alternate location needs to be chosen. Informal print competition was
discussed. To make less work we thought an informal competition or critique
would work. There would be a sheet next to any prints brought in for comments,
and members could put a check mark next to their favorite print. Up to 3 prints
any size, mounted any way could be entered.
Meeting was adjourned at
