This message is being written three days after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Towers and the Pentagon. I think I am still in a state of mild shock. The terrible events of that morning will remain a watershed moment in all our lives. The suffering and the injury inflicted upon the families by these events are very profound. Please pray for those families, it will be a long time before their lives return to "normal".
For each victim, every family has cherished images of their loved one. Did you note the number of people searching for information that were carrying a photograph as well as information about the victim? So many were. What better way to describe them. The photographs are extremely important to the families. I am more impressed than ever of the long term importance and humanitarian value of our profession. In light of the events of this past week, the family photographic album may be the most precious possession we own. As a member of PCPPA consider the joy and fulfillment each image provides to the family and relatives of your subject and what your image may help resolve in the future. What an awesome opportunity! I am proud to let people I am a maker and marketer of photographic images. The stories of how images convey the story of this week is why I am proud.
Sincerely, Brad Bogue

The seminar co-sponsored by PCPPA and SPPA was inspiring and informative and well worth the effort. A few brilliant ideas to 'brand' and expand a photographer and his business in one's market area. Financially it was a break-even for the two associations.
