Message From the President

Brad Bogue

Inheritance.        Legacy       Long term memory     Personal aspirations

What do you see when you think of PCPPA?

This month we will receive a great gift. The handbook is being printed and will be available for every member at the May meeting. I’ll mention a few facts. It took over a year and a half to assemble all the information. Without two dedicated hard working boards it would never have been completed. No, it’s not the first, most likely the third or fourth version. It is, however, the most comprehensive.

Just about the only thing not mentioned in the handbook is how long each member has been a member. this handbook offers a rare opportunity to really get to know your PCPPA Association. You’ll find answers to your questions and sometimes answers you did not even know you needed. There’s help in there and there is support in time of need. It’s the best handbook I’ve ever seen when it comes to answering process and procedures yet it doesn’t read like a law book nor does it read like a association rule book. Yes it does have some “official” language in some sections but they are a small part of the package.

I must thank you, Jerry Saunders, for roughing out the contents then insisting it get done. I thank the board last year and this year for their patient reading and rereading of the book to make it intimately publishable and of value to members.

I hope you find it to answer many questions and find the added value it represents a bonus to your membership I do

Brad

K&K Color Lab Announces Cut Digital Prints!

You asked for it, you got it! For those of you who love the ease and speed of K&K’s digital printing, but have
wanted the convenience of prints individually cut and trimmed like our traditional Auto Units, K&K comes
through. We now offer as part of our regular digital service, cut digital images trimmed to size and ready for
you to present to your customer. If you prefer wallets in sheets, let us know. This service, just like traditional
Auto Units, is no extra charge, and affects both standard digital printing and metallic digital prints.

Round Table

ARE YOU EARNING ALL YOU WANT ???
This months round table will help marketing and profits. Bring a list if your 10 WOW factors that set you apart from the K marts and Sears. Bring a copy of your price list. How do you like it when you call a business and you get into the phone tag game. I have received some very good orders just because I was the only one to answer my telephone. No one has anything to hide, lets help each other to earn what we should. Have you taken your car in for repair lately? What did it cost.

Suggestion Box

On the Welcome table next to the badges and sign in sheet will be a box for members to leave suggestions to the board, just in case a member is too shy to actually speak to any of the board members. However, most of the board has already planned our vacations and do not need any suggestions on where we can go.

Up Coming Meetings

Our June meeting will feature our own Mike Elwell, the recently retired Mr Kodak, who will discuss and demonstrate Photoshop and should be a very intesting meeting.

Sonny Brown will chair the July picnic on Tuesday, the 23rd, our regular meeting night.

Library

The board has decided to removed deposit requirements to rent a tape this summer. Bizarrely enough, the library isn’t open July or August so if you rent a tape in June you have a whole three months to loose it behind the desk or under the couch.
